Romania’s history dates back to the Stone Age, as the territory was famous for its rich soil and ore.
Romanians were the descendants of the two antic tribes: Getae Dacians and Romans. In ancient times the territory of Romania was known as DACIAN kingdom.
Between the two World Wars the parliamentary Romania was transformed into the fascist dictatorship and entered the World War II by the side of the Germans. On 30th of December 1947 the newly elected Communist Party abolished the monarchy and proclaimed the People’s Republic of Romania. In 1989 the Romanian Revolution crushed the dictatorial communist rule.
