»Send an inquiry« is a Pirs business tool, which provides the possibility to send inquiries (i.e. purchase inquiries and not sales inquiries) to the selected companies:

  • whose data contain an email address

  • who gave a prior consent according to Article 109 of the Electronic Communication Act or

  • who did not forbid you to continue sending email messages through Pirs.

In the list of results select one or more companies by clicking the logic field on the upper left side next to each company, or choose all at the same time by clicking »Select all«. You can send an inquiry to not more than 100 selected companies at the same time.

For the selected companies choose the option »Send an inquiry« and the program will open a window for the text of an inquiry. Fill in the obligatory elements:

  • your telephone number

  • title of the inquiry

  • short description or summary of inquiry

  • detailed description of an inquiry

  • choose the way of contacting the receiver (by phone or email message).

You can also mark:

  • the type of information that would be particularly interesting for you (price, minimal quantities, delivery terms)

  • validity of inquiry (if you have decided to publish in Pirs – also the time of publishing the inquiry in Pirs).

Inquiry differs from the electronic message in the option of being published, since you can – as an authorized administrator of your company – publish the inquiry among your company data. But this has to be separately marked.

There is a list of companies in the lower part of the window that you have selected for sending e-mail message. For each company you can use one of the following messages:

  •  - the company gave prior consent according to Article 109 of ECA and the message will be sent,
  •  - the company has forbidden any further sending of emails, so the message will not be sent,
  • - the company has no email address among its data, the field is »frozen«.

When the inquiry text is prepared click on »Send« and your electronic message will be sent to the selected companies. If you have also decided to publish it in Pirs, the text of inquiry will be simultaneously displayed among your company data.

Pirs as the first business directory in Slovenia offers the option of signing a prior consent according to the paragraph 1 of Article 109 of the Electronic Communication Act (Official Gazette of RS No. 43/2004) for electronic addresses of many companies. Prior consent is gained personally and it is verified by the signature of an authorized person of the particular company involved. With this prior consent the Pirs users gain the exclusive permission to use the company's electronic mail address published in Pirs for their first commercial message intended for direct marketing. This means that such message does not represent an unsolicited communication according to Article 109 of ECA. Such e-mail addresses are marked with .

According to the third intend of the first paragraph of Article 6 of ECMA (Official Gazette RS, No. 61/2006, 45/2008 and 79/2009) the sender has to clearly  state the name and surname  of a natural person or a full name of a legal entity in whose name the commercial message was sent.

The Pirs program provides you with the possibility to keep the records of all the receivers who have forbidden you to send any additional e-mail messages or inquiries. The list of companies, preventing you to send, as a registered user of Pirs on the Internet, any further messages, can be found in the user's account »My Pirs« => »Inaccessible companies«.

WARNING: Send inquiries only to the companies that wish to receive such messages. According to the Code of Internet and laws in some countries, the sending of inquiries without prior authorization of the receiver is forbidden. Read Legal Provisions.
